The party decided to engage the t-rex in front of them and bravely defeated it, with the clutch move of Žvirblis binding it to the ground. However, the t-rex rose once more as an undead, but the characters quickly slashed its head off before it could get up. The headless undead t-rex was hardly a challenge, and the party put it to rest once again.
They continued up the river, debating whether to search for Artus and help Xandala or to continue on to Camp Righteous. During the night, while resting, Sara was attacked by a strangling vine that tried to silently choke her while everyone slept. She managed to wake her comrades, and they quickly dispatched the creature.
The next day, they rowed hard and into the night. While the others rested, Kornelijus finished the rowing, bringing them to Camp Righteous. There they met a curious lizard-like humanoid who communicated through scents that conveyed emotions. This lizard, named Dragonbait, turned out to be a friend of Artus, and the two had been camping here. Kornelijus woke everyone and walked with Xandala to meet her father.
Suddenly, Kornelijus stabbed Artus straight in the stomach. Chaos erupted—Artus vanished, Žvirblis cast a fog cloud over the camp, and everything was plunged into thick white smoke. Kornelijus then turned on Xandala, shouting that she had made him do this. With the help of Artus and Dragonbait, they subdued her. After tying her up, Kornelijus healed her for questioning.
