The adventurers continued south in search of the tracks. They narrowly avoided a giant zombie T-Rex and retrieved a small, glowing globe from its abdomen. That night, they met a giant named Thyra who was looking for Artus Cimber, explaining that he had stolen a very dangerous artifact from her people. The giant was friendly, but she warned the party that her comrades might not be so welcoming. The next morning, Tuna noticed that the giant had left tracks similar to the ones Liara Portyr had sent them to investigate.
The party decided to head back to Port Nyanzaru to send a message to Fort Belurian with the information. On their way to the city, they found a silk trader named Ponticijus, who was tied to a tree, smeared with honey, and being attacked by a swarm of wasps. After helping him, he explained that he had stolen from some goblins to survive but got caught and was left tied to the tree. A few hours later, the party witnessed a giant, green ball landing almost on top of them. As the ball unraveled, they saw a small goblin village with six goblins and a bugbear inside. After the fight, they realized that the village used some kind of mechanism to launch itself into the air.
That night, while resting in a sacred place, according to the guide, they encountered small spirits that warned them about incoming zombies. After hiding from them, everyone felt well-rested and ready to go—except for Sara and Ponticijus, who seemed to have caught some kind of disease from the insects. After a few more days of uneventful travel, they reached Port Nyanzaru.
In the port city, Žvirblis found the old lady and apologized for the events that had transpired before. The lady said she would forgive them if they dealt with an old witch living in Mbala — Nanny Pu’pu. Meanwhile, other members of the party each received a 50 gp bounty from the noble, and Kornelijus kindly bought a canoe from his share of the money.
As Sara and Tuna were looking to buy some special items, they realized they needed to either go to the black market or secure an audience with the merchant princes. Looking for black-market goods, Crystal easily found the right people to talk to and obtained a decent amount of insect repellent salve, which was only legally sold by Prince Kwayothé. Meanwhile, Sara decided to enter the dinosaur race taking place tomorrow as she wants an audience with prince Wakanga O’Tamu to identify the glowing orb. As Sara was renting a triceratops, Crystal managed to negotiate a discount by taking on another side quest—helping the dinosaur breeder collect a debt from a local tough guy. When the party tried to intimidate the debtor, he just laughed and pushed Ezra away, prompting Tuna to try and knock the guy out.
