After a grueling fight with the undead the party licked their wounds, rested up and continued to search for the mysterious tracks south of Fort Beluarian.
During day 4 of their expedition they came upon a strange area - around 120 radius circle in the jungle that was completely frozen. Their they met a fellow explorer named Artus - who after brief introductions flew off to look for his friend, in the evening they found a small shrine to Ub’ Tao the Chultan diety.
After some fiddling with the maze in the shrine they managed to found a secret entrance to a nearby cave. In the cave they found yet another maze - this time bigger and more complex with multiple entries and exits. After some experimentation and help of the guide they realized that this maze can be used to travel to other locations - however the solution of the maze is required. During the cave investigation they also found a torn piece of parchment with parts of a solution for the maze.
After a save long rest in the cave the party pushed further south, where they encountered a giant tyrannosaurus rex body, after careful investigation they realized it was Undead, as Sara tried to remove a shiny object from the zombie dinosaurs abdomen - he woke up and started trashing lookin around. She was able to remove the object and toss it to the side as the party is now thinking whether to run, hide or fight against the undead beast.
